As Chief Technology Officer, Mr. De Luna leads the development and integration of scalable data engineering infrastructure supporting advanced autonomous and intelligent systems. He oversees the building and integration of institutional-grade AI data pipelines into public-market platforms, bridging the gap between raw data and the physical world. Anthony is also President and Chief Executive Officer of Flipside AI, our data engineering subsidiary specializing in high-precision human-validated datasets for computer vision, robotics, and geospatial intelligence applications.
Mr. De Luna is a veteran technology leader and architect of the data infrastructure underpinning over three decades of experience spanning structured data systems, digital publishing infrastructure, and AI data engineering. His career has tracked three transformative infrastructure cycles: XML-based information indexing at Innodata Inc. in the 1990s; digital publishing and the development of EPUB distribution standards at Barnes & Noble in the 2000s; and the Physical AI frontier from 2018 to the present, leading Flipside AI as a production-grade data engineering partner to global automotive OEMs, Tier-1 suppliers, autonomous vehicle programs, robotics developers, and satellite intelligence platforms.
As the Founder and CEO of Flipside AI, Anthony established Scale AI’s first workforce partnership in 2018. Today, he leads production-grade data engineering for robotics companies, global automotive OEMs, Tier-1 suppliers, and satellite intelligence platforms. His current focus is the “Physical AI” frontier, developing the Vision-Language-Action (VLA) and World Model infrastructure necessary for the next generation of humanoid robotics.
